About Town & Country Fencing

Gary W. Schmidt founded this Town & Country Fencing in 1976 after graduating from Cal Poly. In 2011, Adam Rust took over the company and has continued building upon our 40 years of experience in San Luis Obispo, CA.

We have built a solid reputation by providing full-service fencing and security solutions. Our team takes pride in delivering the best service, quality, and value within your budget, from planning to implementation. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including site evaluation, custom design, professional project planning, project management of sub-contractors, service, repairs, and maintenance.

After graduation from college in Santa Cruz, Ca, Adam Rust and his young family Moved to the Central Coast in an effort to escape the Silicon Valley. Adam started working for Town and Country Fence in 2006, bringing with him an extensive background in fabricating and welding, Adam’s first responsibilities for Town and Country was building and installing Custom iron gates and handrails. In 2013 Adam Rust took over the Company and has continued building upon the 40 years of experience in San Luis Obispo County. Town and Country now offers full custom design, fabrication/building and installation of Iron gates, and a wide range gate operators, along with fencing is (almost) all styles, and materials.
